Say no to Story Points in Jira! Why not T-Shirt Size? (I use coffee consumed instead)

Some teams estimate with story points.
Some use T-shirt sizes.
Others use creative scales like coffee cups or risk points.

The good news? Jira supports all of them.

Jira Scrum boards can use any numeric custom field as the estimation statistic.
That means your T-shirt sizing (S, M, L, XL) can power velocity, burndown charts, sprint reports, and dashboards just like story points.

You are not locked into one estimation philosophy.
Jira adapts to how your team thinks.

That flexibility is one of Jira’s biggest strengths – and a major reason it scales so well across different Agile cultures.

If your team struggles with story points, change the metric – not the tool.
